Any night owls still awake and want to suggest bands/singers for my "Musical Influences of DOOM" illustration?

So far, I have The Beatles, Bruce Springsteen, Fleetwood Mac, and Simon and Garfunkel for the parental influences, and David Bowie, The Clash, The Ramones, and Billy Idol for the 'we don't know where the hell she got it from, but it makes her happy' influences.

I feel like I'm leaving very important people out, and I've got plenty of space to fill (although, not plenty of time). Granted, I'm only including things I listened to *before* middle school, so I think that cuts out bands like Oingo Boingo, They Might be Giants, and U2.

Is it sad that the reason I know I was listening to my 'out of nowhere' bands before middle school is because I remember getting the Billy Idol references in post-season 2 BTVS fanfic without blinking? hated KROQ and KIIS so much, I listened solely to the classic rock stations from at least 4th grade, until I was in high school and Jamie discovered Indie 103.1 while trying to find a dance station on the radio.

How is it that these are my influences, and yet... I am so *not* punk. Also, I listen to pretty much anything now, save most hip-hop and rap. My brain, it is crazy.

E.T.A.- How on earth did I forget The Sex Pistols and The Who!?! Roger Daltrey! Pete Townshend! Steve Jones! Johnny Rotten! My goodness...
