In which I am an utter girl:

Tonight seemed like a bust, I'm sleep exhausted and couldn't catch a break from one of my managers, and then I look up to see Ryan Gosling. HE IS SO PRETTY, Y'ALL.

I don't normally like scruff, either, so for me to admit inappropriate thoughts for a man with facial hair means that his hotness was unquestionable.

And, okay, I just remembered that a friend of mine used to go to the same church as him back in California, WHY OH WHY DIDN'T I SAY ANYTHING???

When I first saw him, I kept poking T with my pen until she looked up and over, and I swear her eyes got as big as saucers. I was trying to not stare and do what I needed to finish the schedule, since I am a professional, goddammit, and it's not like it's the first time somebody I adore has come in to the bookshop. I stopped next to C to ask if she'd mind going up to cafe when she turned to me and asked, "Is that...?", and when I confirmed it was so, she couldn't contain herself and practically shouted, "I loved The Notebook!!!!" To which he came over and gave her a high-five and a wink. He's very sweet, and talked to us (well, C; she babbled adoringly while I stood next to her) until his friend was done being rung up. So sad, I was just about to ask to shake his hand. Lame, I know. ::hangs head::

I'm not the only sad one- T didn't even come over to where we were, she just stood and stared and then ran inside the office to call B and tell her what she was missing. Plus, Mos Def was in the store before my shift started, and shook J's hand, and T could only stand and swoon. Needless to say, she was cursing herself for a good half hour.
