Mine is an evil laugh**
I am home safe and sound, no thanks to the blackout that made things crazy at Penn Station/Jamaica. Many thanks, however, go out to my overprotective wonderful aunt, who told me in no uncertain terms to get myself on a Port Washington train (they are the only line that doesn't go through Jamaica, and therefore the only ones leaving Penn), and she would pick me up there. Bless her.

Normally, being stuck at Penn isn't a huge problem- I'm comfortable enough with the subways now that I was willing to take one to Jamaica or Flatbrush and then catch a train from there (and it would have worked, too, if it weren't for those meddling kids Jamaica halting all their eastbound trains as well). I'm also enough of a brat to impose myself on Rae's hospitality with only the tiniest of guilt. But I am very happy I'm home, as Fables Volume 9: Sons of Empire was waiting for me. Eeee! So excited. We don't even have them in the bookshop yet. ::Does little dance of book obtainment joy::

But first, I must shower, as I am drenched head to toe. And wow- anyone else getting a good look at this lightning?!?

**One good thing about your voice being all wonky because your throat is being eaten alive, is the sound effects you can make without trying. In the past three days, I've been compared to Doctor's girlfriend (Ventura Brothers reference, I guess), Macy Gray, and Little Richard, and told I have the best evil laugh. Thank god my voice is getting better. People might actual start making fun of me. :D

E.T.A.- I have to be at work tomorrow at 8:30am. Isn't that FANTASTIC!?!? Everyone, cross your fingers they get the trains working again by then.
